In 1963 Dr.Martin luther King Jr. Gave his famous " I have A Dream" speech infront of over 200,000 people in Washington DC. Also John F. Kennedy was assasinated on Nov.22 in Dallas, Texas.
In 1964 The Beatles became the most popular band of all time. The first civil right bill has passed against racial discrimination.
In 1965 President Johnson ordered the bombing raids on North Vietnam.
In 1966 [september 12] Ben Folds was born.
in 1966 Walt Disney died.
In 1967 The first heart transplant waspreformed.
In 1968 Martin Luther King Jr. was assasinated and Shirley Chisholm beame the first African-American women in congress.
In 1969 Apollo 11 landed on the moon.

  • Kennedy was assassinated on November 22, 1963. He was shot by Harvey Lee Oswald when he was in Dallas

  • The first "Superbowl" game was in 1967. Vince Lombardi's Packers whipped the Kansas City Chiefs 35-10, to take the World Championship Game. It became known as the Superbowl in 1969.

  • Russian Yuri Gagarin made the first space flight on April 12, 1961. Alan Shepard was the first American in space in May 5, 1961.
